This class will ignite your passion for photography and will remove any confusion around all those buttons and dials on your camera. It’s an immersive mix of indoor lectures and hands-on outdoor exercises—the perfect class to take before traveling or while traveling in NYC, since it will set you up to take stunning images. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone with more experience, you’ll walk away confident in using your camera’s most critical functions. By taking this class you will also help a nonprofit organization teach photography skills to children in developing countries.
I earned a BFA in Fine Art Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2013. My work has been published widely online and has been exhibited at numerous venues and events. I have been teaching for about 5 years. This experience is sometimes taught by my business partner, JP Pullos. JP is a widely published photographer and has been teaching photography for over 7 years.
100cameras teaches kids worldwide, in places like South Sudan, Cuba, India, and Iraq, how to embrace their stories and share their perspectives through photography. 100% of the photo sales proceeds fund educational, medical, and lifeline supplies for their communities, empowering them to see firsthand the impact of their perspectives as kids today and adults tomorrow.
We’ll meet at Simple Studios for your 3-hour experience. A combination of indoor and outdoor exercises comprises the class.
