Do you know the difference between a Suffragette and a Suffragist? How many years you get in prison for interrupting Winston Churchill? The "scientific" method for rooting out a witch?
This powerful online experience combines two highly-rated Airbnb Experiences (with over 250 5* reviews!) exploring the history of British feminism.
Using photographs, maps & props, we'll travel virtually across the UK to meet fierce women from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales who changed the course of British history. From scientists and activists to creatives and downright bad-ass women who said "no" to the patriarchy (and often paid the price). You'll hear stories from the first century AD to WW2 and Trump-era America which will show you who really runs the world (do I hear "girls!"?).
Make the experience as interactive as you'd like by answering pop-quiz questions and guessing the ending to stories. We LOVE questions, so don't be shy! You'll meet other people from across the world who are passionate about equality - what could be better?

Sophie is an actor, tour guide and HUGE history buff who has been running guided tours in London for over five years. She is a passionate feminist and loves to share stories of Britain's courageous and inspirational women with anyone who's interested. Her brain is full to the brim with weird, wonderful, shocking, and often moving stories from Britain's (continuing) journey towards equality.
Amy is Child.org's Creative Producer and co-creator of The Feminist Tour of London and Queen & Rebel: Edinburgh's Fierce Women.

This is such an inspiring experience about fabulous and strong women (of the past). Sophie is really a vibrant and passionate story-teller and I could have listened to her for hours. Fantastic tour, Sophie was an incredible storyteller and gave the stories real humanity and depth, all instilled with wonderful enthusiasm and humour. The tour was personalised on the fly and Sophie was more than happy (and eminently capable!) to be asked any questions.
I was left with a thirst and excitement about learning more.

This was a really nice and fun experience, I ended up being really glad that I attended. Sophie was a great storyteller and I was really fascinated to know about the stuff she had put together. I know very little about feminist history and this was quite informative and inspiring for me. The only downside was that I was the only one attending when I did so I didn't get to meet anyone else on the call. But other than that, I would definitely recommend this experience especially because Sophie really put in her heart and soul into the storytelling.
