My tour takes you on a sensory interactive gourmet experience, giving you an opportunity to try delicious tastings that represent the premium food grown and produced in South Australia.
From artisan cheeses, quirky Australian native foods like bush tucker, smallgoods, fresh seasonal fruits, nuts, and dairy - there really is something for everything, our tastings change every day based on what is in season. For fellow foodies with special dietary requirements, we've got you covered.
Meet some locals, enjoy their hospitality and discover the true South Australia.
This is really an experience that will get your taste buds talking, and allow you to learn about what makes us unique.
We'll spend time walking through the 80 stalls of the indoor market, smell the aromas of beautiful food cooked on site, coffee grinding, fresh fruit, small goods and taste some of the best produce South Australia has to offer.
It is a great shopping opportunity to learn from a local, and you will be an Adelaide Foodie through my favourite cafe and restaurant recommendations across the city.

Hi, my name is Cheryl, your host through the Adelaide Central Market. I'm a Mum of two older kids and have shopped in the market for more than 30 years. It's my second home and I'm still learning the secrets of the Central Market. I read, I cook, I eat at restaurants (too much) and I love having family and friends over to dinner to test my culinary skills. The shopkeepers and local chefs in the market are now my friends. Cheryl was overseas and we had Clarisse as our guide. Great intro to the central market, having already visited the market previously (without a guide) it certainly helps to be guided by locals to hear the background stories and history and what makes each business special.
