We will meet near a Trader Joe's in Towson (just north of Baltimore) where we will begin with introductions before we take a beautiful 30 minute drive through mostly farmland to Rock State Park. This park is rich in history and beauty. From here I will lead us to two beautiful spots. Along the way I'll offer some of the local history and natural aspects of the area: 1. The 'king and queen seat' where views and rock climbing bring local folks to test themselves, and 2. a five minute drive from this area brings us to Kilgore Falls, a short hike where we can dip in the cool water (seasonal) below an impressive waterfall. Hiking at your pace, along each trail we will stop to learn about local surroundings, take pictures, and enjoy a snack, before returning to our original meeting spot where you can grab lunch at an 'Atwater's' if you choose before moving on with your day.
Hello! I am an Experiential Educator, Adventure Life Coach and Yoga Teacher with a love for both the city and rural environments. I made my way to Baltimore a couple years ago. Coming from Vermont, I felt the need to find all the natural spaces in the surrounding area I could escape to if in need. I not only have a love for quiet, beautiful natural areas, but my career began over a decade ago in Outdoor Ed, where I often took youth and groups of people into the woods. Aware it's not as common to get outside in this area, I'd love to share what I've found that's blown me away because of it's beauty and historical significance, just outside Baltimore!
Set in the countryside, NE of Baltimore, this region is easily navigated by experienced locals but less known by others. There are multiple paths that boast different views and experiences, however we will navigate our way to the more picturesque and stops more opportunistic for natures gifts... waterfalls, birds, differing landscapes, unique rock features, etc. Dogs are welcome but must be on leash and you'll follow me in your car.
最多10人參加，年齡須滿6歲。家長可攜帶2歲以下兒童參加。 Participants should wear a good/supportive sneaker or shoe, water and snacks as needed.
There's walking involved, but more of an intermediate level adventure. Not too strenuous, but slight elevations for small amounts of time. I will adapt to meet you and the groups needs. Yay, dogs are welcome! But the park requires them on leash, and you'll drive separately but I'll lead the way :)
