Upon your arrival at Whimsy Breezy studio located on rooftop, we’ll have a quick meet-and-greet to get to know one another over some tea or coffee. Then I will share the basic process of making travel notebook using the Korean five-hole bookbinding technique called O-chim Anjung-bup. You’ll have fun decorating your own notebook cover while I guide you step-by-step through the process of creating a custom travel notebook. Before we wrap up, we’ll have some snacks and drinks including Makgeolli—a Korean traditional rice wine. At the end of the day, you will take your unique and beautiful travel notebook home with you.
I am an illustrator and designer working at my own art and design studio called Whimsy Breezy. I spend half of my life in Toronto, Canada, and the other half here in Seoul. I love traveling around the world and getting inspired and drawing things from what I see. I’m also a huge fan of dogs, although I do not own one at this time.
Refreshments Coffee or tea, makgeolli, assorted snacks
Bookbinding materials I'll provide papers, pens, pattern masking tapes, markers, stickers, and other drawing materials.
I will take you to my studio, which is very close to Miasageori Station. This area is pretty busy with lots of food, shops, and buildings. The studio is on the rooftop, so it is very nice to go out and see the scenery of the neighborhood from this spot.
