This tour has it all! As we travel in comfort in the luxurious 2020 Palisade Limited around the city, I will take you on a journey through time from the prehistoric era to the present day weaving together the story of how Miami became the Magic City, and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. We will travel through all the popular and trendy neighborhoods such as the funky and hip Wynwood Arts District, the vibrant Little Havana, and the posh Brickell Financial District. In addition, we will go off the beaten path into the bohemian and Bahamian Coconut Grove, and "The City Beautiful", Coral Gables. Along the way we will check out a cigar factory, see historic landmarks, try yummy foods and take some cool pictures of hot art. Best of all, we will stop for international culinary treats along the way that represent some of the many cultures that make Miami the gateway to Latin America. We will be making approximately 5 stops. Each tour is easily customized to your interests. Therefore, if you have already been to one of the stops, I will create another one! We will have some fun and some laughs too!!I I know many great locations for photos, so I will stop and take some awesome pictures of you along the way. And don’t worry about the Miami heat. Our tour mobile has automatic start so we will be cool and comfortable when we get in. So...let’s go!!

Hi! I am a native of Miami, a historical lecturer and tour guide for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida International University, a certified Toastmaster and an amateur stand-up comic. I hold a B.S. from Florida International University in Tourism and Hospitality Management and studied Improvisation and Sketch Comedy at the Second City in Hollywood, CA. I am also half-Ecuadorian (surprise)! I have a passion for Miami and what I do, and have been guiding for 7 years giving an array of historical, cultural and culinary tours. I spend my free time reading and researching history, participating in storytelling contests and open mic nights, and travelling around the world. We will be touring the most interesting neighborhoods in Miami including Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Little Havana, Brickell ,Wynwood and Downtown. We will stop at historic landmarks, pop culture venues, local shops and off the beaten path locations most people never see. We will break up these stops to try some international culinary treats. I strive to make this the highlight of your trip, and ensure that you walk away feeling like a native!

My sister and I were looking for something to do in Miami while we waited for the afternoon check-in time at our AirBnB. We looked over several of the offerings in the “Miami Experiences,” and Stella’s historical tour looked promising, so we went for it. We’re really glad we did. It was clear from our first contact with Stella, right up to the end of our tour that we’d made a great choice. From the outset, Stella was considerate and accommodating, bending over backwards to work with our schedules (my sister and I had different arrival times) and finding a solution to parking our rental (safely and for free) before the tour. She was very knowledgeable and attentive to current recommendations and precautions as regards the coronavirus pandemic. Her touring SUV has all the amenities--some of which I didn’t know existed--such as the ability to cool one’s own seat. Most important of all was her love for and thorough knowledge of her subject--Miami’s history and culture(s), which is deep and broad enough for her to tailor her tour to our patrons’ interests. She’s accumulated and maintained her expertise through extensive reading, conferences and seminars, her own life experiences in Miami, but also through her own archival research--which made for some really interesting discussions of Miami’s founding figures and its unique racial history. But it’s not just history you’ll experience on the tour, you also get a taste of local cuisines, musics, art and architecture--all delivered with passion, humor, and intelligence. We were utterly charmed and can’t recommend Stella highly enough.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Stella Erin was the perfect host, exactly as the other reviews describe. Laid-back, informative, considerate and interesting! Driving with her in her luxury Palisade and getting to walk around the Biltmore in Coral Gables, Wynwood , Little Havana and more was the perfect way for us to learn the history and current culture of Miami. The food stops were delicious and I can’t think of anything I’d change about this tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
