Retired Royal Guard Iconic London Walk

I invite you to join me to see Royal palaces and other iconic royal sites, hear personal stories of my experiences with members of the Royal Family and even get to see a piece of Prince William's and Kate's wedding cake! We will start at Trafalgar Square and hear about its history and then move on to see the pomp and pageantry of the Changing of the King's Life Guard. We then walk along The Mall to St James' Palace and Clarence House where I will tell you tales of Princes William and Harry the night before William's wedding. Next is a short walk to Buckingham Palace where you will have more opportunities to take photos and hear stories of the Royal household. We then walk into picturesque St James' Park where there is a chance to pause (kiosk available for drinks) and look at gifts presented to me by members of the Royal family. On the way to Parliament Square I will tell you all about the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben). The final part of the walk takes us along Whitehall, past Downing Street (home of the Prime Minister) and then to the spot where King Charles 1st was executed. We will finish back at Trafalgar Square. Other things to note: If on the 2pm walk we will see a shortened Guard change at 4pm. We will have an opportunity on the way for a short stop for you to buy drinks and visit a toilet.

Penny Farthing Bike Tour London

Go back in time and ride a penny farthing bike on the streets of Westminster in central London. Since the late 19th century, Londoners have had a continued love affair with the high wheel bicycle, officially named the Penny Farthing bike for their wheels’ resemblance to the British penny and farthing coins. • We'll meet at the culturally significant London Scottish House in Westminster and we'll introduce you to the bike and provide you with your safety equipment. • Then we'll head out onto the streets where you will learn to safely mount, ride, and dismount. • After a short coffee break, we’ll head out on a leisurely guided journey around the Westminster area, past many iconic locations such as the Palace of Westminster, the gardens of 10 Downing Street and Buckingham Palace. After a short photo stop, we’ll roll on back to London Scottish House and return to the present day. PLEASE NOTE, this is a physically demanding experience and is recommended for intermediate to advanced adult bike riders at least 5 feet and 3 inches (160 centimeters) tall and under 220 pounds (100 kilograms). Although we take all the safety precautions we can and do our best to create a fun, secure environment for guests, there is risk of injury maneuvering a penny farthing bike and you will be participating at your own risk.

Get to know Hackney the local way as I take you through the “day in the life” of a painter. • You’ll learn what makes Hackney a cultural hub as you tag along to my daily haunts. • As a highlight, we’ll visit my studio in a vibrant building full of artists. There, we will explore and mix coloured pigments, the technique I use in my paintings, and dive into the patterned worlds I am creating. • Then, we’ll visit neighborhood spots beloved by locals — a record shop, cafe, sandwich spot with some surprises along the way. If you’re feeling the Hackney spirit, be sure to say hi to the locals you’ll meet along the way.

London's Amazing Palaces & Parliament

We will see 20+ of London's most iconic sights in a 3 hour walking tour This part of London is a must see for all visitors to London. We will head through Green Park to Buckingham Palace, where we'll watch the world famous Changing of the Guard ceremony (Sun / Mon / Wed / Fri only) We will walk down The Mall, the red colored road that is adorned by two Royal Parks & two Royal Palaces Then we will head Parliament Square to see Big Ben & Westminster Abbey. Sights we will see along the way include Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column, Horse Guards, Downing Street, Parliament Square, Westminster Abbey & the Houses of Parliament. I will guide you on an exploration of one of London's most loved areas : Westminster It is the oldest part of London with buildings that are 1000 years old. Early Kings and Queens lived, got married and were buried in this part of London There are Palaces and Parks galore here. This area houses the UKs famous democratic institution, the Houses of Parliament (Westminster Palace) We will walk around this area and tell you the history, the fun facts and figures and also how the UK evolved from Roman to Medieval times to the modern day London Other things to note The afternoon tour : no changing of the guard. **Small group tour. Royal London Bike Ride, with cosy ale pub and street art

Experience the freedom of exploring London by bike, just like a local, and get an exciting introduction to the best of London's landmarks and culture. We'll provide you with a gorgeous, hand-built British bicycle and a tweed flat cap (caps optional, helmets also available) and we'll set off on an adventure around London’s iconic sights and lesser-known hidden gems. Following back streets and dedicated bike lanes, you'll ride from Big Ben past Westminster Abbey and up to Buckingham Palace, the home of the Queen, where we'll see the Royal Guards in their dapper uniforms. (Changing of the Guard days: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, & Sundays) You'll coast along (London is very flat!) at an easy-going pace, stopping regularly to hear fun facts and some quirky historical tales. There's time to take photos too! We'll then take a break to enjoy a pint of beer at a cosy historic pub where you can get to know your fellow travellers. Lastly, you'll have a chance to try street art in Banksy's graffiti tunnel (and we provide spray paint!). We've designed this route to give you the best introduction to London. You'll be taken off the-beaten-track to discover London's best street art, murals and hidden gems that you won't find in the guide books! We'll walk the vibrant streets of Spitalfields, Shoreditch, and Hoxton, taking you into side streets and hidden alleyways to get under the skin of London's incredible street art scene whilst giving insights into important historical and cultural events that have made the area what it is today. From huge murals and intricate stencils to finely crafted bronze sculptures and miniature masterpieces painted on discarded gum, you'll hear the stories behind dozens of works. Our in depth local knowledge of the East End allows our guides to give an unprecedented insight into the current challenges our community faces as we move into the future, as well as all of the exciting things that people are doing to keep this amazing part of the capital unique. Other things to note We run our tours in all weathers unless it is truly extreme (think snow storm!), and advise that you dress for the weather and bring an umbrella if needed. Music walking tour of London's Soho

All groups will meet outside the Dominion Theatre at Tottenham Court Road underground station, and go on a 2 hour walking tour exploring the streets of Soho. You won't believe how much musical talent was crammed into one small iconic street! The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix...the list goes on and on. We’ll explore where the Sex Pistols squatted, not forgetting where Elton John got his first ever job as a tea boy! Moving on to the venue that Brian Epstein, manager of the Beatles, took over and put on the legendary Jimi Hendrix one fateful night in 1967! It's then onto Soho square and see where Paul McCartneys business headquarters are. British RocknRoll began at this coffee bar which is just round the corner to arguably the most famous of London music venues, where nearly every major artist has played! Enjoy the spot where John Lennon took part in a famous comedy routine. Stand in the spot where the Oasis album cover was taken, before moving onto the studio where David Bowie recorded Hunky Dory and where the Beatles recorded the first release on Apple records! For those that want to continue we will then finish in an beautiful old, historic English pub, which has had many famous guests over the years, where I will tell you stories of my own personal involvement in the music business!

Secret Old London

Walking through the ancient streets of London, you'll learn what lies beneath your feet, from 14th century Black Death victims to a long lost Roman Ampitheatre. Standing by some of the most foreboding locations in the city, I'll tell you about the gruesome executions which took place here, and the partying and revelry which accompanied them! You'll be taken within the shell of a church destroyed in the Blitz, and be led into the park which displays one of the most touching memorials to self sacrifice you could possibly imagine. The walk lasts 1.5 hours and will leave a lasting impression of a different side to London's deep and extraordinary history. Other things to note Your guide will be easily identifiable with a flag and friendly smile. There are no toilet or refreshment breaks during the tour, so please be prepared.

This walk follows government guidelines on combating covid to ensure guest safety. This walk is a History of London and walk through time. We will walk around quiet backstreets from Westminster to Vauxhall discussing subjects as diverse as royal history, finance and British culture. We will visit a Georgian cathedral town and pleasure garden, a Victorian penal port and graveyard, a Bronze Age port and religious site, and a 21st-century city that is still under construction. You will be immersed in different historical periods and will hear about lots of gossip and scandal. This walk actively encourages your participation. Other things to note Bring sensible walking shoes and rainwear—this is an all-weather walk. I will provide hand sanitiser. Occasionally some back streets are blocked off due to filming or local events taking place. When this happens or if guests have a particular interest in the History of the British Monarchy an alternative route/tour is offered which finishes in Trafalgar Square. Please ask if you are interested in this route/tour.

This walk follows government guidelines on covid protection to ensure guest safety. ` Fantastic experience. Learnt so much about what is hiding in plain sight! ' Mark, Discover Hidden Sites Guest I will take you on an interactive walk through beautiful hidden gardens very near the usual tourist sites but rarely visited by most tourists. Firstly we will hear about the sensational story of 19-year-old Katherine Howard, Henry VIII's fifth wife who was executed for adultery. Discover scandals and court plots that make Game of Thrones seem dull! * Secondly, we will learn about Jonathan Tyers `The Maker of Dreams ' and owner of the Vegas and Disney of the 18th century. Discover how Jonathan became wealthy and inspired generations of wealth creators! * Thirdly, we'll see the home of the suffragist Millicent Fawcett, whose house entertained 19th century feminists, bohemians, and radicals. Discover how Millicent changed the world! Finally we will look at how the stories of Katherine, Jonathan and Millicent are all about your values and how you choose to interpret their time on earth! Other things to note This is a gentle great for groups and solo travellers walk that will take place in all types of weather. The last stop is Vauxhall Park, which is minutes away from the Vauxhall underground, bus, and railway stations. I will provide hand sanitiser.

The London Blitz Tour

This is a wheelchair accessible and pleasant walking tour! From Monument Underground Station, we'll cross over London Bridge to appreciate the war monuments, plaques, buildings, and structures that suffered damage or protected Londoners during the World War Two Blitz. We'll learn what it was like to live in London during this period through the stories of events that took place in this part of the city. The walk will take about 2.5 hrs to complete, and we'll finish by the Imperial War Museum. Other things to note: Wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if it's a rainy day. Please let me know of any needs or requirements. This experience is only suitable for those over 12 years of age that can walk for 2.5 hrs.
