Chateau de Candolle - 11Br - Sleeps 22
22位 · 11間臥室 · 11間浴室
Take a vow, renew a romance or simply relax in a fairy-tale setting at Chateau de Candolle. Not only does the property offer your own private eleven-bedroom chateau, it’s set on a 700-acre estate filled with a pool, hammam and tennis court, all tucked into almond and olive groves. Marvel at the villa’s lovingly restored interiors, or use the estate as a base to explore the Aix-en-Provence area. Your stay includes the services of a butler/cook and manager and continental breakfasts, so you’re free to enjoy the heated pool, jetted tub, tennis and petanque courts, ping-pong table, and available bicycles. Outdoor sitting and dining areas let you take advantage of the Provençal breezes, or you can relax with a session in the hammam. In the evenings, retreat to the cigar and reception rooms or home theater, or sample vintages from the wine cellar. The chateau is equipped with satellite TV, a sound system and iPod dock, a piano for the analog crowd, an elevator and even a helicopter landing pad. The villa’s beautifully restored interiors feature several traditional rooms as well as more contemporary spaces. In the formal living and dining rooms, gilt-edged mirrors, original fireplaces and crystal chandeliers create a sense of grandeur worthy of special occasions. Enjoy a casual breakfast or snack at the bistro-style table in the bright sunroom or at the farmhouse-style table in the cozy, fully equipped kitchen. The eleven bedrooms at Chateau de Candolle offer suite-style accommodations; all except one have en-suite bathrooms, and all have air conditioning, satellite TV, an iPod dock and mini-bar. On the villa’s first floor, there are two bedrooms with king beds. In the area known as “the wing,” you’ll find one bedroom with a king bed and study, which is the only one without an en-suite bathroom, and one bedroom with a queen bed. On the villa’s second floor, there are five bedrooms with queen beds and two bedrooms with king beds, one of which can be split into two twin beds. Though there’s plenty to see and do on the estate, there’s even more to explore in the area. Make the 10-minute drive to Aix-en-Provence and the Cathedrale St. Sauveur, the 30-minute drive to Marseille, or the 40-minute drive to Avignon or the Marseille airport. It’s 13 miles to Rognes-en-Provence, 35 miles to the village of Luberon, 45 miles to Saint Remy de Provence and 47 miles to Arles. If you’re visiting in the summer, the beaches of Marseille are a 24-mile drive and the Calanques of Cassis are a 33-mile drive. If you need to make a connection, the Nice airport is a 107-mile drive from the chateau. Copyright © Luxury Retreats. All rights reserved...
