Hydra is a very popular island because of its picturesque capital, full of red-tiled houses and stone-paved narrow alleys. Hydra is one of the few areas in Greece for which there is preservation order. Access to the island of Hydra is easy It can be reached from the port of Piraeus by hydrofoil in just one and a half hour. The particularity of Hydra Greece is that all vehicles are prohibited, a fact which increases its charm.
The house is in the middle of the amphitheatrical city of Hydra and it’s a 10-15 minute walk from the port.
2 floor house in the centre of Hydra Island with a breathtaking view which can be enjoyed from all the rooms of the house. On the ground floor the veranda has 2 levels.
The 1st level outside the kitchen, is covered with ceramic tiles that provide cool and shade throughout the day, which makes it a pleasure to have all meals outside enjoying the beautiful view. On the 2nd level of the veranda you can sunbathe during the day or lie on comfortable chaise longues at night and have a cocktail under the stars.
Entering the house there is a fully equipped kitchen, 2 ring stove with an small oven, and a 2nd mini fridge. One room which accommodates 2 people in 2 single beds with a WC- shower and a washing machine that you can use. This room can also be used as a dining room as there is a table for 6 people and it is quite spacious with 2 windows and a perfect view.
On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms which sleep 4 people and a bathroom with a shower. Each bedroom has got 2 single beds (they have small wheels) which can be used either separately, or as double beds by joining them and putting an extra thin double mattress on top. There are also 3 fans in the house, 1 fan for each bedroom.
Passing through the 1st room there is another veranda that gives a wider view of the island.
The house is not recommended for very young children because on the veranda there is a very low wall which could be dangerous.
The house manager will meet guests in the harbor, escort them and show them around the house.
The manager will also arrange for donkeys, if needed, to carry guests luggage to the house. Guests are responsible for the fee of 15 euros per donkey.

Do not leave food outside the fridge or oven. Even bread crumbs can
attract ants during summer period
We recommend buying bottled water for drinking, as Hydra's water is
not suitable for drinking - only cooking and washing.
Please when you open the windows and the shutters, don't forget to
secure them with hooks, otherwise they bang from the wind.
Please don't throw the paper into the toilets.
If you want hot water for the bath upstairs, there is a tableau at the
top of the stairs ( on your left hand ).
The double switch is for the water heater.
Please don't forget to turn it off.

Bathroom towels should not be taken to the beach.
