Welcome to “Sky Vista” a privately owned Penthouse Condo above the amazing boutique hotel El Taino de Sky.
Location – Location – Location !!!
Before you even begin to look at the luxury and elegance of our penthouse, our location immediately sets us apart. There are several gorgeous vacation homes up and down the beach from Montanita. To my knowledge we are the only luxury Suite vacation home – directly on the Beach and located right in Town!! We chose this property first and foremost for the location. It has direct access to the beach, it is just steps away from all the action in town, but it is far enough away that you can open the windows and hear the ocean breeze not the dueling music of competing night clubs. After selecting the perfect location, our architect went to work to design our amazing elegant space.

You have access to the entire ocean side suite - you are getting the best of both worlds - a privately owned apartment atop a functioning hotel. With the hotel you get 24/7 security and access, easy check in and out. With the private suite, our guest relations manager will be available to give a warm welcome and offer further assistance.

You are staying on the top floor...hence the name “Sky Vista”. Depending how you count floors, (US -5th / Ecuador-4th) it is a long way up!!! There are no elevators in this building. Put your FitBit on and enjoy the escalation! Upon request, El Taino de Sky has help available to assist you with your bags. We promise the view will be worth it!
As is typical in South America, the entire building is not completely finished. The entire top floor where you are staying is completed. However, as you make your way up the stairs, you will walk past some concrete walls that are unpainted, etc. There will not be noisy construction during your stay, this is just typical South American building style. Again, the entire top floor where you will be staying is completed.

If you have never been to Montanita - well you are in for an Experience!! If you have come during high season (December thru April) - the Surf is UP! The streets and the beach are packed...the clubs are hopping and it is exciting and busy!! The great news is you are staying right on the beach but you are on the quiet end .... a two minute walk on the boardwalk or the sand puts you right in the heart of the action between "Cocktail Alley and Restaurant Row"
If you are visiting between May and November - it is a lot quieter especially during the week. Most often if you are a beginner you can still get out and "Surf the Mush" (waves of 2-3'). During the week a lot of clubs are closed down and the streets are quieter, but when Friday comes around...things pick back up again.
From local street food to our favorite Peruvian restaurant, Tambo, Montanita has something for everyone. Be sure and go by the TikiLimbo and have a Big Wave (take a friend or three to help you drink it). Craving pizza? A couple of our favorites are JAJA just along the boardwalk, and Pizzeria Marea. Often the best breakfast in Montanita is found right there where you are staying at El Taino de Sky's own restaurant.

Prior to arrival, all interactions will be through the Airbnb site. Once you have arrived at “Sky Vista”, We will have a welcome book available with contact numbers and email. In addition, I have a relations manager that works and lives nearby. The owner of the hotel and his amazing family are there to help you as well. They are Montanita locals and wonderful people, Gustavo and his teenage daughter speak great English. They can be found most days at the front desk, in the hotel's restaurant or sometimes you can see Gustavo playing in the waves with his youngest daughter while his beautiful wife runs the front desk.
