This modern, ground-floor studio is located in central SE Portland near tons of bars and dining and just a quick jump over the river to downtown and the Pearl. 350sqft with a hand-crafted queen-size Murphy bed, TV with Roku, thoughtfully appointed kitchen, washer/dryer and bathroom stocked with amenities, this space provides everything you'll need for a great stay in Portland. The private patio is the perfect spot for morning coffee and the ductless HVAC system keeps you comfortable year-round!

The private entrance is equipped with an easy to use electronic lock to make access a breeze 24/7. Once inside, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, stacked washer and dryer, bathroom with a stall shower and a cozy lounging area lounging area where you can plan all your Portland adventures or veg out and stream your favorite entertainment on the smart TV. The queen Murphy bed and room darkening shades allow you to sleep in as late as you want. With the shades up, the large windows let in tons of light.
The kitchen is stocked with all the tools you'll need for preparing meals - that's if you can resist all the amazing nearby dining! There's a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a 4-burner electric range and vent fan (sorry, no oven!), a french press, electric water kettle and even a dishwasher to make clean-up easy. The dining table for two or the private patio are the perfect place for a home-cooked meal, takeout or your morning cup of coffee.
Every guest is provided with fresh bed and bath linens, quality bath toiletries, laundry detergent and more - everything you need in your home away from home!

Via a private entrance with an electronic lock, guests will have access to the entire studio located on the ground floor of my home. The backyard and patio are all yours, too!

My cat, fondly referred to in the neighborhood as Ambassador Jones, will be hanging around the back yard and may try to say Hi. He's very friendly and comes and goes through my garage and into my own private space. He won't be inside the unit itself but is likely to try to visit if you'll let him. He is not in the space regularly, but has been before, so if you're highly allergic to cats, this might not be the best fit.
My dog, Bernie lives upstairs and it's unlikely you'll run into him but if you do, he's a big fan of friendly head pats.
My neighborhood is very safe, but as an extra precaution, I've installed a security camera (visual only, does not record audio) that faces the patio area.

My home is located in the heart of the Buckman neighborhood with a nice balance of residential properties, retail and restaurants just around the corner. I am just 15 blocks from the Willamette River and a quick walk or bike ride to downtown or to the convention center. A Lyft or taxi will make it easy for you to get around and if you need to park a car, it's usually pretty easy to find within a block or so of the house.

I'm originally a Minnesotan. I'm a surgeon, a scientist, and an educator. Given that and that the entry to your apartment is at the back of the house it's unlikely we'll run into each other during your stay, but if we do, feel free to say Hi!
