Prime location between Harvard/Porter sq. King bed, en suite bathroom, offering good value for two people. Off street family home, quiet yet yards away from all the action. The room is mostly taken up by the bed. There is ample cupboard and drawer space for a monthly stay, and a wall mounted tv with cable.

The house is eclectic, furnished with vintage furniture, and maybe a bit of a fixer upper by American standards but most people love it. The bed is quite low so not suitable for older people. The shower head is new but the bathtub is old, and has a few hard water stains by the tap. The room is not pitch black in the mornings, so some guests may like to bring an eye mask. I would also add that this is not a pristine secluded guest room but rather a comfortable rickety little room amidst a family home, would suit young informal people not too worried about absolute privacy. Also as mentioned above, there is little floor space, so not ideal for people with a lot of luggage. Very occasionally I get a complaint of noise or some dust, or an odor, please be SPECIFIC, in your review otherwise I won't know how to address the complaint.

On occasion I might have one or more of my children visiting, so while the household is not noisy there will be the sound of life. If you need a parking space please let me know in advance so I can allocate you a visitor’s parking permit. Please don’t bring other guests home to stay without my permission, other than those included in the reservation. Let me emphasize again, this is a room for young carefree travelers and more discerning guests will be happier in a hotel or a formal bed and breakfast.
