Our coastal cottage is 100m from the beach, perfect for families and cosy romantic breaks.
You’ll love it for the sea views, proximity to Burgh Island, cliff walks and the 13th C pub up the road.
Lovingly refurbished with a log burner for winter and a sunny garden and conservatory.
Two double bedrooms, one children's room with two beds. Well equipped kitchen with range cooker. Shower room. Travel cot/ high chair available.
Wifi, TV with Netflix, USB charging points in every room.
An old coastguard's cottage, our cottage has been lovingly refurbished for bright modern living. There's plenty of character here with wooden floors throughout, green/blue coastal colours and a ship's beam spans the living room ceiling. In the winter the log burner is lovely and toasty; in summer the garden is a sun trap and a cosy conservatory shelters you from any sea breezes.
We love cooking so the kitchen is well equipped for cooking and baking, and the dining area intimately lit for dinners around the farmhouse table.
Kids have their own room complete with blackout blind and nightlight, and the loft bedroom has amazing views out to Burgh Island.
We'll contact you at the start of your stay to check you're settled in ok. We're almost always available to contact if you need any help, tips on local walks, places to eat or kid friendly activities. Our housekeeper Elaine lives nearby and will also say hello to check your stay is going well and fix any problems that might arise.
Please take care of babies/very young children as the staircase is open on one side.
- No sandy feet or shoes in the house and be careful with high heels in the house to avoid marking the wooden floors.
- Pets are welcome, please keep them off soft furnishings and beds, and ensure they are not left unsupervised. The garden is gated but does have low walls.
- This is a family home and as child friendly as we can make it, but please remember your children are your own responsibility.
I love to travel abroad and experience a place from a local's perspective, nowhere more so than Latin America. Good food, good company and good music are always high on our agenda - so we love to have friends over to visit, cook and entertain for them. Taking in a good movie is one of my favourite downtime things to do, though nothing quite beats an early evening picnic on the beach with our family or a stroll across to the island for a cosy drink :-)
We know we're so lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places here by the sea - sadly it's not our full time home yet, but we spend as much time here as we can. For now, we love being able to share it with other travellers to enjoy!
