Casita de los Caminos combines modern convenience with an urban setting near many of Albuquerque’s visitor destinations and cultural amenities - the perfect base for a rich experience of the many intersecting layers that make New Mexico a unique destination. The casita is carefully decorated with unique furnishings, art and textiles, giving it just the right amount of Southwest style and comfort.
Casita de los Caminos is a bright and sunny 700 sq.ft, detached, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, with a private fenced yard, large open plan kitchen/dining area and living room. There is a fully equipped kitchen in the event that you feel like cooking at home rather than eating at any of the nearby restaurants, cafes or local tap rooms. We supply basic cooking seasonings, pots and pans for your convenience, and tea and coffee from local purveyors. The bedroom has a new queen sized memory foam bed, and a sofa futon daybed that folds down into a twin/single sleeper (would comfortably fit a small person or child, this is not a full size futon). Enjoy some fresh air on the private patio, accessible through french doors, where you will find butterfly chairs, a shade umbrella for those sunny days, and a chiminea fireplace to warm you on a cool evening. Fast wifi internet and flat screen TV with Roku is provided. For your convenience a washer and dryer are also available in the unit.
Private entrance to the house and yard through a locked wooden gate. You have your own private patio area with outdoor chiminea fireplace. Parking provided for up to 2 compact cars under a covered carport. On-street parking for larger vehicles or tall vehicles such as a car with a roof box or bike rack on top.
We try to meet our guests upon arrival to orient them and answer questions, but we’ll leave you to enjoy your visit unless we hear from you otherwise. We are available via text message (SMS), phone call or email anytime during your stay.
Before your stay we will contact you with arrival instructions.
Please let us know right away if you have any concerns or questions so that we can accommodate you appropriately.
On occasion my husband and I will stay in the casita with our dog when our family is visiting us from overseas. We never allow our dog on furnishings. Individuals with severe pet allergies should consider this before booking.
While Albuquerque isn’t a “big” city, the casita is located in an urban setting near Downtown, and traffic noises from Route 66 and other normal sounds of urban living are to be expected, but not intrusive.
Check-in and out may be flexible with advance notice, please ask.
- Check in is after 3pm, check out is 11am unless prior arrangements have been made. Just ask!
- Please be respectful of our neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum.
- Please enjoy yourself, but treat the casita as you would treat your own home.
My husband and I travel between New Mexico and Los Angeles for work on a regular basis. And travel between Australia and the US for family visits regularly as well. Our families share our love of travel, and are currently living throughout the world on four different continents: North America, Africa, Europe, and Australia.
