NEIGHBORHOOD FEEL ~~
My place is in the lively North Shore area, adjacent to vibrant and historic North Side neighborhoods of Pittsburgh. It is in a typical urban neighborhood with urban sounds such as the street sweeper (Tuesday), the city bus (4AM-Midnight), an occasional siren, teenagers on cell phones, lots of pedestrians, etc., but it's generally very quiet at night. Mostly residential comprised of single-family homes and a few apartments, large historic cemetery across the street, busy front street (one-lane each way). My neighbors are from varied types of backgrounds... everything from architects, bakers, and bus drivers, everyone knows each other. Everyone will smile or wave to you whether they know you or not. Bicycle friendly, with bike lanes in front of house.
--> Grocery store two doors down (around the corner)
--> Two convenience stores within 2-4 blocks
--> Wine & Spirit store 1/2 mile
--> Gas Station 2 blocks
--> Dry Cleaners around the corner
Parking on the street is in front of the house, abundant, well-lit with sidewalks. Parking is free 24-hours a day, no permit required.
