Colin’s reservation Made on (Website hidden by Airbnb) 11/22/2017 Cancelled (Website hidden by Airbnb) 12/21/2017 Reservation Start Date: 01/12/2018 Hurricane Irma caused damage to the roof. Unbeknownst to me, at the time, a slow leak occurred. Colin's reservation was canceled (on 12/22/2018) due to this. I felt it would interfere with Colin and his wife’s enjoyment and use of the guest suite. I did not maliciously cancel Colin’s reservation, I asked him if he would like me to contact an acquaintance of mine, whose an Airbnb host on his behalf. The host had several rentals too choose from. The rentals available were more expensive. The rentals were anywhere from an entire house, two bedroom suite, studio apartment. Rentals also included newly remodeled, pool, Jacuzzi, 60 inch flatscreen TV etc. I asked the host if she would accept the same price Colin would have paid for the guest suite. I in turn, would owe a favor too her in future. When I contacted Colin to give him the hosts information, he had already made a reservation. I believe, I went above and beyond to aid Colin in obtaining a replacement reservation. After reading Collins Public Feedback Review, perhaps it was a blessing I did not host Colin and his wife as guest. Also, I do not know what a “automated posting” is…. Messages Between Colin and Rachael Rachael: Hello Colin, I need to cancel January's reservation. Hurricane Irma damage the roof on my home. Until recently, I did not know the extent of the damage. I was looking forward to having you, and your wife as my guests. If you would like, I have a friend who may be available to host. Her name is Arbor, and she lives 20 minutes from me (Route 41 and Sunset Lane). I have already inquire, by leaving a message on her voicemail. Arbor introduce me to Airbnb, she has several homes, studios, and room rentals. Please accept my sincerest apologies, and if I can be of service, please let me know. As a new host to Airbnb, (hosted three guests to date). The reservation was made by Andrea for Julie. Therefore, this review is for Julie. I would highly recommend Julie to other Airbnb hosts. Julie was respectful, well mannered and easy to interact with. Julie did not complain, demand nor was she untruthful, as I have experienced with past Airbnb guests. I found her to be responsible, and would not hesitate to host her in the future.
