Built in 1820 by John Ballon, a free man of color, the history of Freeman’s Cottage is detailed in the book "Savannah’s Little Crooked Houses: If These Walls Could Talk," by Susan B Johnson and published by the History Press, 2007.
Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and features on-premise parking and a secluded garden patio. We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

- Secure self check-in using our electronic keyless locks
- Professionally laundered linens: you're bed linens are pressed just like a hotel (in fact we use the same linen service as 2 leading hotels)
- Ample guest linens and guest consumables to get you through your stay without doing laundry or making a trip to the store
- Concierge Services including pre-arrival grocery shopping, discounted trolley and walking tour tickets, and many other visitor items. Need help with something more unique (private picnic in the park, dinner reservations, coastal boat excursion)? We're local, we know people...we can make it happen.
