I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to read your unfavorable review and the way you tainted my reputation. Once again I must suspect that people are not reading my entire listing as they come expecting premier service for the low rate we charge while showing little cooperation and understanding for the DOG's and home owner's needs. I may be should have been more forward coming in your review as to warn future hosts about the dogs, but decided to protect the dogs as they are usually the ones paying the price for misbehaving humans.
I had already doubts as you "unloaded” two YOUNG puppies and I asked if you kept them in a crate suspecting "surprises" with regards to chewing and soiling (referring to experience of previous ignorant guests). You assured they are good inside. BUT SURE ENOUGH, YOUR DOGS DID DISAPPOINT. Not even 5 minutes in my room they created a HUGE PEE PUDDLE !!!!. I asked you to refrained your dogs from running around free. I even provided a crate for you as you did not have one. But you ignored my request to keep them crated besides ignoring the other important house rules to communicate with me when you wish to leave the room.. Also, your dogs also kept us awake all night as the rumbling of your dogs running for an d back in the room above our head was quite loud. Regarding your criticism that the house would not be suited for dogs: Let me ask you to step off of your high horse of ENTITLEMENT: This is a private home that works pretty well for MY DOGS and ALL VISITOR DOGS that come with RESPONSIBLE dog owners. We are a dog friendly HOME, more than any other, BUT it is MY HOME and not a Dog Vacation Resort. I asked for your cooperation to let me know when you and your house-soiling-dogs want to walk around freely so I can ACCOMMODATE YOUR special needs while I imprisoned my dogs for YOU, young lady. You have shown very little cooperation to respect that simple house rule , endangering yourself and the dogs and now I come to see that you mainly pounded on having your needs met . If you need to carry your dogs to the outside and fail to communicate with the home owner that you would like to use the back yard than this is YOUR ISSUE and not my failing in providing service. One flight of stairs to end up directly at the door to the back yard is in general not an inconvenience for dogs. A little communication and paying attention to the home owner's well working house rules go a long way.
Now let me CONGRATULATE, dear Samantha on the following accomplishment: Having ignored my own inner guts and the experience of your visit combined with the "findings" in your review have pushed me over the edge as to not allow visitors traveling with dogs in my home anymore. It is not worth the hassle, the extra repair/clean-up cost I have to deal with and mostly the cost of status and reputation when entitled-feeling youngsters lower my standing with Airbnb .
Traveling pet owners surely will thank you for having caused another pet friendly accommodation to have vanished!
