The bathroom you refer to as “in terrible condition” is in perfect working order, plenty of hot water and lighting, spotless toilet, plenty of shelf space and freshly laundered/bleached, white guest towels, in addition to an always laundered and fresh bath mat. But yes, it is in an older, red brick apartment building full of character and charm versus a luxury hotel with perfect marble counters and floors. In light of my last guest’s disrespectful treatment of the bathroom, I replaced many items, deep cleaned/bleached, grouted and even painted the bathroom in the two days prior to your arrival. The bath has never been slippery before and it isn’t slippery now. Had you contacted me, I would have bought a no slip mat for the tub, to make your experience more comfortable. I truly believe the “terrible condition” you labeled the bathroom should more accurately be referred to as “older”. In addition to being freshly painted and grouted, it was also deep cleaned with bleach and disinfectant in anticipation of your arrival. There where several freshly laundered and bleached, extra towels on the shelf in the bathroom. No guest towels have been used for anything but the guests’ use. If I overlooked a towel that had been permanently damaged by a prior guest, then I apologize. But with so many to chose from, I am certain that your towel needs were more than accommodated. If you had let me know that one or more was damaged in any way, I would have replaced it immediately. Even brought you brand new towels to enjoy during your stay. There are no bugs of any kind in my entire apartment. I am very detailed oriented and I would certainly notice. The bed is heavenly and offers quality, luxury hotel comfort. It is also a newer bed. Every guest has commented to me personally about the hotel experience they had in the bed. I would like to see pictures in order to verify what you saw. Since you were traveling from abroad and delayed by many hours while en route, isn’t it possible the bugs came into the apartment with or in your luggage, or some other manner, after your arrival? If anyone has a problem with WiFi, please call me. Staying silent for 2 weeks then writing such an unexpected and derogatory review about the accommodations seems a bit malicious when you commented yourself on the host’s good communication. Please take advantage of it and let me know how I can make your stay not only more comfortable, but surpass your expectations. As for the building, it is well maintained, but it is also older. It won’t look pristine unless it is completely remodeled, in which case it would lose its charm. It has a unique, red brick exterior which should have alerted you to it being older long before you decided to book it. It has a beautiful curb appeal, it is clean, surrounded by kind and considerate neighbors, and very QUIET. Many guests have volunteered to me how quiet and peaceful their stays were. I apologize if there were any unusual circumstances during your stay to cause unexpected and unusual noise levels. The building is normally quiet, tenants are friendly and respectful, and you can’t even hear anything outside the window at night. Just peace and quiet. I hope this response helps the readers and you to understand that your perspective may not be completely accurate, and I would have greatly appreciated it if you would have contact me at any time during your stay, so I could not only see your concerns for myself, but to immediately correct your concerns. Thank you very much for being a respectful guest while you were here. I had hoped you would leave with a far better impression of your stay, and of course I had hoped for communication to allow me the opportunity to address your concerns in a timely manner, versus leaving dissatisfied

This place has a wonderful view and is right near great restaurants, downtown and the staples center. Definitely enjoyed my stay and would book here again in a heartbeat. Thanks!
