Dear Samantha, thank you for taking the time to review your stay. However, we were very surprised by the content of your review. After over 40 five star reviews you are the first guest who gave us only one. This was more than a shock for us. We even tried to call you several times after we read your review to clear possible misunderstandings - unfortunately you never picked up the phone or answered any SMS or message here on Airbnb. When it comes to the content of your review we want to set the record straight: You literally wrote misleading and wrong facts. First of all did we mention that due to a wrong time calculation of the previous guests they had to keep their luggage in the flat. This was only 30 minutes during your stay. They then picked it up by themselves. We have never ever experienced so much inflexibility by a guest when it came to an issue like that. Next: The door DOES close and is additionally secured by an EXTRA gate. This gives a double amount of security. We checked the door and it was neither broken nor were we unable to close and lock it properly as you described it in your review. You mentioned that the previous guests left "all their rubbish" in the flat. The only thing that by inspection was left there was one plastic bottle in the fridge. (Yes this might be wrong - but it was ONE bottle...) You say our place is overpriced - to that we can only say that you have been coming during the Formula 1 weekend, where prices (may it be hotels or airbnb) are generally higher than on other weekends. However, it is very rare to find a decent place under 100 EUR per night during these weekends. You only payed 80 EUR per night which is way under the average price in Budapest during the Formula 1 weekend. To finish this: We are very happy that you will not use Airbnb again - this is not only good for us but also for the whole community. You were writing a misleading review and on top of that you did not show any effort of discussing your issues with us. We think an amazing community like the one here at Airbnb is better off with guests who actually care and are willing communicate with the hosts and vice versa.
