If you sense a story in the air, it’s because this house boasts a unique history! It was originally located in Tarrytown (the oldest neighborhood in Austin, TX) but was transported here to Lake LBJ as a labor of love - it was the homeowner's childhood home. Though the wood floors are original, the rest of the house is fully renovated, and the decor maintains the cozy, charming feel of a family lake home.
NOTE: Because the house is set on stilts, stairs are required at entry and exit. This may be difficult for guests with limited mobility.
INSIDE THE RENTAL
The uber-comfortable living area has a soft sofa (that pulls out into a bed), two easy chairs and a sprawl-worthy chaise lounge. This room also includes a flat-screen TV equipped with cable, plus free WiFi. But don't let technology distract you too much: the house also has a collection of games for kids (and kids at heart).
The full kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware and dishes you may need to cook up a great meal for the whole crew.
There is plenty of room to dine outside on the deck, too – and the charcoal grill and a gas grill make it even better. Even better? There are three kayaks and a paddle boat for guests to use.
This canal-front house features a new day dock that guests can use to tie up their boat. A small inlet on the property is suitable for stand-up paddle boarding – bring your own or rent one nearby!
If you're ready to hit the beach, feel free to borrow the six beach chairs provided.
The master bedroom and the guest bedroom each have a double-size bed. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin-over-twin bunk beds that can sleep 4 total.
There are two tiled bathrooms in the home, each with a standalone shower (but no tub).
Everyone can keep busy in this location! We’re located on two miles from town, where you can find restaurants, stores and shops. The HEB Grocery and Perissos Vineyard are less than three miles away. Golfers will be happy to know that the Legends Golf Course is only a few miles away.
Travel 12 miles from Inks Lake State Park for more trails, boating and other recreational activities (there's even a restaurant on premises for post-activity munchies). The legendary Longhorn Cavern State Park is only 10 miles away with its popular guided "wild cave" tours, ranger programs, and natural rock formations.

All Turn Key Vacation Rentals follow local and state tax rules. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, and a Property Damage Protection policy.
Guests must be over the age of 25 and will be an occupant of the unit during the entire reserved period.
*No parties, excessive noise, or any illegal activity shall take place at property.
*No pets are allowed unless otherwise noted for specific properties.
* No smoking is allowed in or around any property.
Cleaning: Each property will be cleaned and inspected after your departure. We ask you to help us enable the cleaning crews as much as possible. Simple things like leaving the property tidy, running the dishwasher, starting to wash the towels, and taking out the trash are expected of our guests.
If excessive wear and tear is found on property, or additional cleaning is necessary due to spills, trash left on site, unclean dishes, stains to furniture, carpeting, linens, paint, wallpaper, or flooring, Guest authorizes the Owner to bill them for additional fees. If at any time the maximum number of occupants is exceeded or if the Owner receives information about excessive noise, Owner has the right to evict Guest and all occupants immediately and to bill the guest a minimum service fee of $250. If any sign of smoking is discovered Guest authorizes the Owner to charge the guest a minimum $500 cleaning fee. Unless the rental policy specifically allows, if any sign of any pet is discovered Guest authorizes Owner to charge the guest an additional minimum $500 cleaning fee.
Properties are fully furnished properties that will include bedspreads, linens, blankets, pillows, towels, a fully equipped kitchen, TV, furnishings unless otherwise specified.
Travel Insurance is highly recommended for any stay.
