I live in a hundred-year-old house near the river. It must be one of the oldest buildings in the area, but it is in good condition and surrounded by trees. This listing is for the sofa bed in my living room, for those thrifty travelers. It's at one end of the house, and I don't keep anything I need to use in here, so you'll have it to yourself. I chose this place because the area has character. Most of Melbourne is pretty boring, but downtown it's lovely and happening. 5 minutes to the Atlantic.
With the air conditioning off for long enough you definitely get an old house smell, and the bathtub has some chips in it, but guests have been repeatedly charmed by the antique wooden everything, abundant natural light, and proximity to water and nightlife.
You can use whatever you like. The deck out my back door is impressively large and nice in the evenings if there are no mosquitoes.
I work most days, but I am here most of the time on weekends.
I love knowledge of all kinds. Awed by the mysteries and wonders of technology, I decided to become an engineer. I recently finished six years at Georgia Tech, where I trained as a wizard. I work now as a software engineer and data scientist, learning and teaching my coworkers how to teach computers to learn.
