Charming, year around cottage. Nothing beats being in the middle of our pristine lake or sitting on the deck watching nature in all her glory! And when you're ready for something a little bigger, Lake Michigan is a short drive; along with world famous Legs Inn (closes mid Oct) as are the "big" cities of Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City! Walking distance to Moosejaw restaurant when you don't want to go anywhere! Incredible fall color change. Be prepared to not want to leave!

Cell Phone service isn't too great. Many people go west on Van Road to Pleasant View Road and pull over at that intersection to make cell calls. Also cell phones appear to work much better at the end of the dock or on a kayak! But we do have Wi-Fi at the cottage.

This is a quiet, friendly northern lake community. On a busy 4th of July weekend we have counted as many as 7 or 8 boats at one time! Usually just a pontoon now and then or a kayak or paddle boat. Nice to have a well loved watering hole within walking distance when you just don't want to fire up the grill.

Hello! I'm Leanne and I love the peace and beauty of northern Michigan. It's so easy to let life get too complicated and too hurried. When i get to our cottage, I remember that it's important to just "be" and not "do". Keep things simple for just a little while. Sit by the water and be thankful for the day we've been given. Sit by the bonfire and be thankful for the rest. Take a walk in the snow, or a few runs down one of the local ski hills. Laugh with family and friends. Enjoy being in the moment! Sometimes it's hard to leave our cottage, but when I do, I love walking in Harbor Springs and Petoskey or heading to Lake Michigan searching for petoskey stones or other finds to turn into wire wrapped jewelry. I love the art scene and the theater in northern Michigan. So much talent in such a relaxed and beautiful setting. It kinda goes hand in hand with my hosting style. Just want everybody to relax and enjoy the moment. Find beauty where you are and appreciate the people and places that surround you!
