I'm sorry you feel that you were wrongfully accused. However, it seemed like the logical conclusion to draw based on the fact that this vintage ceramic bowl was there before the stay, and missing upon our return. In addition, the apartment was left in such a state that we had to assume someone broke it due to the many empty liquor bottles, what appears to be weed flakes on our kitchen table, a picture and hanger that was ripped off our wall (and now needs to be repainted where the hanger was), and a broken bed frame. The small sum of $30 we requested would just begin to cover the damages, but unfortunately could not replace the sentimental value of the bowl which was a handed down by my roommates grandmother. As for the shower that didn't work, I wish we had been contacted during the stay as we could have helped resolve this issue with a simple explanation of how it works. I'm sorry if you found any crumbs in the bed sheets, as we clean all our sheets at the laundromat before each guests arrival. I'm truly perplexed by the claim of dishes being left in the sink as we cleaned and organized all dishes before the arrival. However, upon our return we did notice that a gel was in our mugs and over our kitchen counter. I'm also unaware of any mold in our fridge but I am sorry if you found some during your stay. Our fridge is new and cleaned before each guests stay. We did not charge a cleaning fee for your stay. Unfortunately, we did decide to begin charging a cleaning fee and deposit after this experience.
