We are happy to hear that you had a good experience with the unit that you stayed in. We appreciate your comments about the property and its proximity to town/ski area. We would like to apologize for the fact that you thought it was lame for us to send you the bill for the local tax however on January 19, 2018 we made it clear via Airbnb messages that we needed to charge the additional sales tax. At that point you would have been free to cancel the reservation should you have found the terms to be unfair/misleading. We wish we didn't have to but the town collects the tax one way or another and we can't ask the owners to pay it since they signed the contracts before this tax was rolled out. I hope you understand and I hope that overall you had a wonderful experience staying with us here in Breckenridge!

Unfortunately we do not have the flexibility of a hotel since these are private homes and we have an obligation to service the owners of these homes as well as our guests. The rental market in Breckenridge is very fast paced and in order to keep our renters and the owners of these homes happy we need to be very strict with our cancellation policy, which again, is visible to all those who book with us.
