How unfortunate to have to read this unfair public review of our home. What a surprise turnaround. In all the communications with the guest Julia, she never indicated displeasure or voiced a complaint. She even had a positive interaction with our house manager, Maureen, who is so responsive, and certainly would have made sure that more dishwasher tablets were available if she had been asked.
To publicly slam our home because it is not how she runs her Airbnb is not helpful, constructive or beneficial to anyone in the Airbnb community. Julia claims she is not a negative person, but to hide behind the facade of wanting to help us to improve by providing a litany of shortcomings is a stretch. Flowers, croissants and almond milk are nice, but not a necessity and their absence is hardly a reason for toxic comment. Some folks you just can't please, for example complaining that the towels (all new and clean) were in the airing cupboard (next to the bathroom) rather than on beds. Really? Or that public roads have to be crossed to get to the beach?
Of course nothing is always perfect, we were unable to predict a boiler failure (new one now being installed), and we take her comments to heart with the goal of making every stay as enjoyable as can be, but we feel the negative comments presented here are wholly unjust.
