In addition, we supply guests with a mask, latex gloves, sanitizers, disinfectant and antibacterial hand soap in our establishment.
Muwuyu enSuite is a master-Suite with its own private bathroom and spacious enough for 2 adults or a couple sharing with a child with addition of a twin sleeper. This master enSuite is very spacious and features 2 his/hers closets; a queen size bed & love sit, accessed through a private entrance with separate floor from host on the 2nd floor; 1st class amenities; 24/7 high speed Wi-Fi; digital cable LCD TV and faces our beautiful tranquil garden; onsite laundry; Towels, Sheets & Toiletries provided in your room weekly. Access to a full shared self-catering kitchen (with basic continental breakfast groceries provided; and Lounge area. Street parking available. Only 20-30 minutes train or express bus ride to NYC & EWR with easy access to other public transportation to malls in the area; Muwuyu is the Shona name for the Baobab tree known for its massive size in diameter and height. Consistent with our opulent African theme, the enSuite is decorated with Ndebele wall trimming in red, soft green and beige color tones. Mushaindoro Hospitality Suites combine the themes of authentic African chic décor with contemporary Western luxury!

We are near most Universities in the area from midtown Manhattan, NYC and in NJ we are a stone throw from Seton Hall University main campus a 15 minute walking distance from Mushaindoro suites. Rutgers University-Newark Campus and New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) downtown Newark is a 30 minute bus ride depending on local traffic. Kean University in Union is about 20 minutes ride and Montclair State University is about 30-35 minutes ride via local highways. FDU - Madison in Morristown is about 40 minutes by car.

Mushaindoro Hospitality suites are a perfect traveler's location for 1) Restaurants - fine & casual dinning; 2) Recreation & Entertainment; and 3) Public transportation to NYC, Newark Liberty International Airport (with access to shuttle services to JFK & LaGuardia); major shopping malls (Jersey Gardens, Short Hills & Livingston); and the major Universities of NJ (Rutgers, Seaton Hall, NJIT, University Hospital, Kean and Montclair Universities). In addition, our photos are Airbnb verified which means, what you see is exactly what our luxury suites offer.
Our restaurants comprise of high-end multicultural restaurants of Maplewood and South Orange villages. Coffee houses, diners, ethnic and gourmet restaurants offer everything from morning coffee and bagels to late night cafe latte. We also have a variety of exotic fast food take-out establishments that deliver like sushi, Chinese, Italian, Ethiopian, Mexican, Caribbean cuisine, Papa John’s, Dominos and many more. Then we have sports bars, and martini bars, and just fun places to hang out for the evening after the bustle of the NYC. Extended stay clients have laundry facilities onsite, scenic jogging parks, gyms and supermarkets that sell everything from American foods, Latin America food, and African foods to East European food varieties! Since we have a self-catering kitchen, you have a choice of supermarkets and specialty food stores, gourmet and prepared foods and we can have an international dinner party if you are stay a while! In the summer there are two farmer's Markets that offer the best in NJ Fresh produce and flowers. Maplewood has the best community pool in the area and we are members and or guests pay $10/adult/visit. Use of nearby public tennis courts and basketball courts are yours to enjoy. Maplewood golf club is a members only facility, but if you want that I can arrange access to other golf courses. Mushaindoro is a walking distance from SOPAC (South Orange Performing Arts) in South Orange, which also houses the Clearview Cinema complex with 5 theaters in addition to art galleries, an Artist's Network, and performance spaces.
If you are a fashionister or shopaholic looking for a bargain shopping establishment with quality stuff? Then Jersey Gardens Mall, the largest outlet mall in the North East USA is your place to go and its 20 minutes away by car which can help arrange. You need at least 2 days to go through the entire mall and the brand name bargains are priceless and beat NYC prices any day!!! Malls opens at 10am to 9pm Monday to Saturday, Sundays up to 6:00pm. However, additional fine shopping can be found at Short Hills & Livingston Mall just an hour away on the #70 NJ Transit Bus.

Welcome to Mushaindoro Hospitality Suites, the Jewel in African Hospitality. I am your host and proprietor Tendai. Originally from Zimbabwe, Mushaindoro Hospitality Suites gives me the opportunity to share my traditional Shona culture, blended with my acquired American experiences. Our suites are names after Shona trees, mostly wild fruit trees that grow in this southern African savanna region of the continent. Having traveled a lot, I know what I love about a great stay, therefore I strive to offer my guests an authentic memorable homespitality experience. Being on a separate floor from Host, guests determine how much interaction they want to have. But form experience, our guest become like family and friend with other guests after staying with us. When our guests are staying in, we love having a regional/international potluck dinners on weekends, where we invite our guests to join the host in cooking their favorite cultural or regional dish and we all sample each other’s cuisine over wine and conversations. Stay with us on weekends and enjoy the hilarious and unpredictable Nollywood (Nigeria) and Ghallywood (Ghana) African movies with other guests or choose to spend some quiet time in the privacy of your room to listen to music, use Wi-Fi or watch TV, HBO or any on-demand movies and shows. Mushaindoro means “home is your jewel” and we are the Jewel of African hospitality. We hope our home will be your jewel experience.
