He is the first guest we have ever had a problem with.he didn't checked for the amenities offer in the place or the size of place as shown in pictures. This guest LIED and got a stay for free. He is such a smooth operator that he was able to convince AIR B&B phone agent that his lies were true (Website hidden by Airbnb) The reason he gave AIR B&B for cancelling is that there supposedly was not hot water in the shower. IT WAS A LIE. I personally checked and so did other people in the house before (we showered at 7am and there was hot water in the house) and after (my partner as soon as he was informed checked in the pool house shower, THERE WAS HOT WATER) (Website hidden by Airbnb) Guest cancelled before ever talking to me (I was at work doing surgery on a patient) nor to my partner in the house available all morning from 7:30am, nor to our gardener who was in the garden working by the pool house all morning. When I was able to call him back to hear what had happened he shouted at me on the phone and called me names (Website hidden by Airbnb) The evening of his arrival we provided him with fresh organic fruit as we always do. He inquired about laundry service in the area because he was signed to stay 10 days. We offered him free laundry service from our own housekeeper and own laundry room which is not included in the rental fee. That evening he was kindly given clear instructions in case of requests or problems. He didn't follow these instructions. He called AIR B&B and lied to cancel his stay at no cost to him and all cost to us.A !0 day rental loss, one night he spent in our pool house lost, no way to rebook someone (Website hidden by Airbnb) In addition he clearly never carefully read our listing prior to renting. He asked me about TV in the pool house. Our listing states clearly NO TV in our rental. Same he didn't realize his meeting/work location was further away than he thought: 5 min via UBER but 15' walk w/ a few hilly streets. This man is a smooth operator. He had two bad records already on his profile when he made his request. I should have known better. But because cancelling is a problem with AIR B&B I didn't refuse his request. I will add: anything can happen at any given moment. The problems though are his reactions: lying, losing his temper, and being aggressive and disrespectful. Not someone I would ever recommend our fellow AIR B&B hosts to ever allow to stay in their properties.
