Recently renovated apartment in center of Tourrettes, amazing views over hills and mountains with great walking opertunities. This great 2 bed appt would be great for people who want to immerse themselves in French culture/village living with winding old streets, and benefit of the noisier Fayence a 10 min walk away if you want more life. The Place de la mairie has a wine bar serving tapas lunch and evening (and during high season live music on fridays) and a couple of restaurants.

Tourrettes, picturesque village 200m from Fayence, is built on a hill about twenty kilometres from the sea. In an incredible maze of alleyways, still echoing the hooves of mule trains, ancient stone houses, antique doors, rustic porches, all steeped in history and legends, opening a wonderful and magical world. Discover art galleries and workshops and view over 80 open-air paintings and sculptures, as you walk through the streets of the village.

The village square is public and available to all, the tourist office is in same building as apartment as is wine bar (La vigne Vincent) serving local foods and hot food lunch and evening. The other restaurant (la pause Tourettane) on square is also open lunch and evening. The café des arts, up the hill also serves great snacks and light meals.

If you are driving on A8 motorway, take exit 39 (Les Adrets).
Turn right (direction Fayence).
Take road through lake over 2 bridges.
At roundabout take 3rd exit (direction Fayence)
Keep taking direction Fayence.
You will pass a few of roundabouts, LeClerq supermarket and then Intermarche supermarket.
Pass a big (pink) Pharmacy on right.
Continue until you come to small roundabout with large stones in middle & follow road sign to tourrettes (first right).
Follow up to village to main car park. If you want closer car park,just before you enter the main car park, take a left up narrow road going under some houses, and then take another left, car park is on right.
From each car park walk up to Place de la Mairie.
