I am sorry your experience was dissapointing. However I did notice that this was your first time using Airbnb so I would like to adress and clarify some things. I have never advised you to check-in at 3pm. When I have asked you about the time you would like to check-in you said around 3pm but you will text me on that day because you are driving to give me the exact time. That did not happen. So I went with around 3pm but in the end I recommended you 4pm to make sure everything was ready. You again agreed saying it was fine, if it was a problem it would be enough to tell me and I would try to solve it. Now to your arrival, I got a text message from you at 4:01 saying that you are there and at 4:02 I called you back that I am coming downstairs, because most of the times I am upstairs I cannot hear somebody knocking on the door and I think the first logical thing to do is call the person. You have to understand that when you do airbnb in a share house there are other people living. Both of us are students plus we are working late until night. So I am very often asleep during the day and I don't know why me greeting you in a robe over my lounge wear is a problem. Again Airbnb is not a hotel, I was there to provide you keys, information about the house and give you your privacy and get on with my work, Back to Airbnb we have in the description that there is no heating and Sydney gets cold at night, again we have written that the train is literally 1-2 min walk away from the house so you were informed about this before too. Anyways communication would be enough and we would provide you with more blankets. If you don't tell me about any kind of problem I cannot solve it for you. Your sentence about trying to find hosts confuses me even more. You knew where is my room and all you had to do was knock or just call me or text me. I got up in the morning just to find the key with no communication personal or through the phone. I assumed everything was ok and you had to leave early even though I found the no- message strange. All of our guests until you were very happy and if they needed anything we tried solve the problems to the best of our capability.
I recommend reading the description properly and communicate with the hosts and I am sure you will have a great experience here on Airbnb.
