The Fleet Suite is our only two-room suite and the only guest room located on the second floor of the inn, and has maximum occupancy of 3 people. The room comes with free parking onsite for one car, a rarity in downtown Annapolis.
The sitting room/ twin room has cable TV, while both rooms have free wi-fi and wool carpeting. The front room overlooks the pedestrian gate to US Naval Academy, while the second room looks upon adjacent gardens.
All windows have room darkening blinds. There is a quiet ceiling fan in the main room as well as air conditioning.
The front bedroom has a four poster king bed, plus a love seat for your comfort with good reading light. Tall lamps on the two nightstands are perfect for nighttime reading. Electric wall sconces flank the large mirror above a dresser by White Furniture of North Carolina.
On the front wall is an oil painting by Sharon Lettig of the Maryland State House in snow in the heart of Annapolis. The window treatments in both rooms are ornate handcrafted cornices in a blue Chinese Toile pattern by Thibaut.
The second room offers a twin bed by Hickory White, a large and comfortably deep couch, and a leather club chair with ottoman. The room also has a large gilded mirror, a pair of wall sconces, and good reading lamps by the seating and at bedside on the cherry dresser. The room focuses on a dramatic oil painting by W.R. Vallevand of the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge in stormy wintry seas off Korea in the early 1950s.
The private bathroom with shower in the suite is off the second room, but it also may be accessed from the second-floor hallway.
