1. The entrance to the apartment is on the back side of the home, which is accessed through an automatic roll-up garage door (see photos). This requires you to walk in through the alley behind the house. The alleyway is brightly lit at night and ours is the second house in from the end so the primary street is still visible.
1. As the apartment is in the basement, some noise is inevitable. We do our best to be considerate when hosting guests but you will hear us, our dogs, our utilities (i.e. water, furnace, a/c, etc.), and ambient sounds such as sirens and horns. Trash pickup comes on Tuesday mornings. You'll hear the truck. We park in the back (see photo). You will hear the garage door. Things are typically quiet at night but if you are sensitive to sound, you might be bothered.
2. Our dogs, Bella & Beau, like to “greet” people who enter into their domain - especially the UPS guy, the FedEx guy, the postman, etc. While our “kiddos” do not have access to your space, you will hear them occasionally. We don’t enjoy their barking any more than the next person and we do our best to help them contain their enthusiasm. However, if you’re not a dog lover, you might not appreciate this extra “feature” of the home. On the other hand, if you like cold noses and wet kisses, Bella & Beau provide these amenities free of charge.
Thank you again for staying with us, Milvette!
All the best,
Kristy & Greg
