This Casita stands alone behind the main house and offers complete privacy with a fully equipped kitchenette, a full bath, a separate bedroom, hardwood floors and the charm of its unique locale and history.
Our casita is in it's own private world - away from all the traffic and noise of the world and yet blocks from some of Albuquerque's best offerings.
Guests have access to a spacious back yard with chairs, umbrella, picnic table and fire pit.
We will be available as much or as little as the guest(s) prefers. We love to interact and help our guests have the best time possible here in ABQ.
We are close to everything - Old Town, Downtown, museums, Tiguex Park, coffee shops and restaurants. This is a wonderful neighborhood.
We have a wonderful back yard space with outdoor patio, table, and umbrella.
We are here most of the time and love to meet the guests, but we also respect privacy and the desire for a guest to be on their own. Just let us know how we can best support you during your stay!
The neighborhood is a family-place, with two delicious restaurants, a coffee house, and a tea house within a block or two of the Casita. We are also within walking distance to a wonderful park, three of Albuquerque's best museums, Old Town and a wonderful neighborhood grocery store. You'll love this area!
We are close to public transportation, but Albuquerque in general is a place that needs a car, unless you are just here to relax. If you don't want to sight-see much, you can easily walk to several restaurants, three museums, a beautiful park and Old Town. There is also a bicycle rental shop nearby that delivers and picks up.
Note: our kitchen has its separate little space in the Casita, but does NOT include a stove. The kitchen is equipped with kitchen sink, full refrigerator, microwave/convection oven, toaster oven, electric skillet, Keurig coffee maker and all plates, glasses, coffee cups, and kitchen utensils. We also provide snack items and bottled water for our guests.
We are a no-smoking environment and we don't have pets on the premises, honoring those guests who might have allergies. We are in a neighborhood, so respecting normal "quiet" hours is much appreciated. Check in is 3 PM and check out is 11, unless prior arrangements are made.
We seem to be travelers who have roamed the world a bit! Originally we are from Texas and Colorado. We love biking, hiking, reading, independent films, kayaking, writing, talking with people, helping people take "next steps" in their lives and exploring the world. And we love sharing our home with those who are looking for rest, relaxation, time to reflect, space to read, inspiration to create or those simply needing a little soulcare.
