DESCRIPTION: Sometimes life becomes all too much. We’d like to invite you to Take-a-Break cottage for a little serenity. Located in beautiful Parksville, BC, a 10-minute walk from the beach, get away for awhile, and enjoy all this location has to offer.

Welcome to our home!
This open and bright 1100+ square foot cottage is ideal for your summer or winter getaway. A sunny front deck is perfect for morning coffee, while the large enclosed back deck is ready for a BBQ and private outdoor dinner.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen to meet all your cooking needs. The cottage is configured with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 1 bedroom in the loft. The loft bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Three very comfortable queen size beds and a Lazy Boy hide-a-bed ensure a good night’s sleep. Three tv’s, two full bathrooms, and a front-loading washer and dryer make this an excellent choice for up to 6 guests.
We are pleased to provide linens, bedding, and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, and appliances.
Coffee, tea, sugar, coffee mate, salt and pepper are all available.
You must provide your own laundry detergent
The cottage has Wi-Fi, cable tv and also a landline for local calls.

The entire cottage is yours for the duration of your stay! Upon confirmation we will provide you with information so that you can access the cottage when you arrive.
Our cottage is located in Oceanside Village Resort in Parksville, BC. On site our guests have complimentary access to a pool, hot tub, and small gym. The resort also offers a bistro, spa, and salon. Within walking distance there is also a convenience store, mini golf, and Rathtrevor Provincial Park. Nearby there are two restaurants, Cedars at Tigh-na-mara, and the Black Goose Inn.

Guests are expected to do a basic clean up after themselves: Fill and start the dishwasher, put all used linens and towels in the bathtub, and give the BBQ a cleaning if it was used.
Guests must also take their recycling and garbage to the onsite waste area which is at the end of our street.

We are west coasters who love the outdoors - forests, lakes, mountains, waterfalls and the ocean. We enjoy trail running, skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, and canoeing. Nothing beats fresh oysters, sushi or a backyard bbq with friends and family. We are excited to host visitors to our Take a Break Cottage - it is the perfect getaway for us both in winter and summer.
