We're delighted to introduce Jurassic Glamping, a new small-scale luxury campsite on our smallholding in East Devon. With exceptional views over the Axe valley, you can enjoy a stay in one of our four large safari-style tents, each equipped with all the luxuries you would expect as part of a true glamping experience. Being only 10 minutes from the spectacular Jurassic Coastline we are ideally located for exploring the wonderful beaches, seaside towns and countryside of East Devon.

Willow Safari Tent - sleeps 5/6 and Beech Safari Tent - sleeps 6/7
From the outset we decided that our accommodation had to provide the best possible glamping experience, so we chose safari tents as they're large and airy with a huge veranda for relaxing and taking in the gorgeous sunsets while enjoying a pre-dinner drink. There'll also be no need for night time treks across a field to a shared toilet as each tent has an internal bathroom with hot shower and proper flushing toilet. We've installed a solar panel which powers the lights and a phone charger and there is also a gas powered cooking stove, fridge and heater. In front of each tent is a spacious lawn and fire pit so everyone has their own space to spread out and relax. This listing is for either Willow or Beech the large size safari tents. Willow has a double bedroom and day bed downstairs and a mezzanine level with 3 single beds upstairs. Please note that this tent may not be suitable for very young children due to the mezzanine and the stairs. Beech is a large single storey tent with a double bedroom and 2 bunk beds.

There are currently 6 tents for hire in the 10 acre field so each tent has plenty of space and all facilities are private to each tent. 3 tents sleep 4/5 and 3 sleep 5/6. Private hire of the whole site is also available for larger groups. There are separate Air BnB listings for the other tents.

We will be opening this year on 5th April 2019. Minimum stays outside school holidays are 2 nights, during school holidays we offer 3 night weekend breaks starting on Fridays, 4 night midweeks starting on Mondays or 7 nights from either Monday or Friday.

We are on hill just outside the market town of Axminster where there are lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. There is a nice walk down the bridle path into town which takes about half an hour. Then it is only a 10 minute drive to the seaside towns of Charmout and Lyme Regis.
