"Casa do António" (Antonio House) is located in one of the housing conglomerates called “ilhas” ou “bairros”. Villa Santa Bárbara is one of these “ilhas” and has only three houses: Casa Antonio, Casa Maria and Casa Adriana. Casa António is a typical house, with old masonry walls. Its decoration is based on Portuguese tradition. It is a very charming house. It is like a secret place in the city.

Just like inside the houses, the environment is very welcoming, romantic, and original. There is an open, very pleasant, unique green area with benches, swimming pool, chairs, fruit trees, an orchid greenhouse and an aromatic herb bed. During the day you can listen and watch the birds. At night, there is a charming lighting system in the whole open space.
There are more than 700 square meters that invite you to relax.
Inside Casa António there are two sleeping rooms: a private double room and a twin bedroom in an open mezzanine that can host up to four people. Casa Maria has a double room and can host up to two people. All beds have high quality mattresses and bed sheets (Made in Portuguese).
Each Casa has a separate kitchen and laundry room, with all cooking appliances except an oven and a dishwasher. Each laundry room contains a washing machine, an iron and board.
The bathrooms offer free toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, soap and toilet paper) for the first days of your stay. Replacement hygiene packs are available. Each guest will get high quality white towels, both hand and bath, all made in Portuguese.
There is also air conditioning, cable TV and free wi-fi inside the houses and in the whole garden.
Each Casa is independent of the other, with no access inside between the two so you can count on maximum privacy, security and quiet.
Villa Santa Barbara has a private, gated parking lot with a CCTV system where more than 2 vehicles can fit.

Besides a full equipped kitchen, there is also a breakfast service option between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for only 3€ per person, available from a bakery only 100 meters away, that includes: 1 cool drink, 1 warm drink and 2 bakery bread.

The place has the genuine Portuguese spirit. The name Villa Santa Barbara comes from the name of the street where it is located and is a tribute to the patron saint of the church which is on the same street. The church is beautifully decorated with Portuguese tiles and is worth a visit. In the neighborhood there are many facilities such as: a grocery store, fruit shop, pastry shop, barber shop, bakery, coffee shop and a butchers. There are also restaurants, big markets and a shopping center, Gaia shopping, Aldi and Lidl.
