The Broadway suite is a bright, exclusive and fully furnished two bedroom basement suite. It includes year round access to an outdoor hot tub for relaxation! (No parties) The house backs onto a park and is near to the trendy business district of Broadway Avenue!

The suite has an open concept kitchen and living room which is comfortable, spacious and is tastefully decorated with new furnishings.
The living area includes a sectional couch, TV and cable, Netflix, Stingray music, DVD player and Wireless Internet. There is an electric fireplace/heater in the living room for comfort all year round. Movies could be rented through the cable and billed onto your stay.
The kitchen and dinning area is equipped with a full sized fridge and stove, microwave, toaster, cookware, dinnerware, coffee bodum (french press), kettle, tea pot, tea towels, sugar, salt, pepper and a few spices. Dish soap, dish scrubbie and a roll of paper towel are provided.
The master bedroom has a new queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed. Both rooms are made up with fresh linens, warm duvets, new pillows and extra blankets. There is an single cot with foamy that is available for an additional guest, ideally a small child.
The bathroom is clean and stocked with fresh towels, a mini soap bar, a bottle of hand wash, a box of face tissue and extra rolls of bathroom tissue.
HOT TUB
The hot tub runs on a salt water system which is constantly creating it’s own sanitizer. This system takes hardly any chlorine so it is easier on our skin. The hot tub is available all year round and is used by us only when guests are not using it. Guests may book the hot tub for private use by reserving the time/times they would like to use it. The booking needs to be made 2 hours or more in advance to have it prepared. We will turn the temperature up, test the water quality and adjust it as needed. The hours that it can be booked are between 10am and 10pm. We recommend guests bring sandals or flip flops to go outside to the hot tub, we provide towels and robes. There are things about our hot tub that guests will need to be shown for ease of use and enjoyment, that gets shown to them prior to use. The tub rules are found along with the house rules.
Other common areas include the back yard, patio and bbq. The laundry facilities downstairs are also shared, we provide each guest stay with 4 pods of laundry soap.

Guests will use a keypad code to get in and out of the outside door and will usually self check in, instructions are provided the day before arrival. Guests are given a key to the unit once they arrive.
We may inquire on arrival time and set up a time to show a few things on the hot tub.
Early check-in may be available provided the cleaning is complete from the last reservation. If not early bag drop off is an alternative, please message us if you would like to arrange either of those options so we can make it available to you.

There is free parking on the street in front of the house.
We live upstairs with our 12 year old daughter and two cats. The cats are not allowed downstairs and never go into the suite.
We support recycling in the suite, you will find easily accessible receptacles inside and out. We also encourage conservation. The amount of kitchen and bathroom provisions (soap & tissue) is an ample amount to supply a short term stay, up to one week, or to get you started if you are staying longer. Guests will need to supply their own beyond what is provided in the suite.

We do allow children, although the suite is not child proofed. It is to the discretion of the parent/s to decide if the suite will be suitable for their child. It is the responsibility of the guests, not the host, to ensure any protective measures are in place for their child or children.

The house backs directly onto a nice large green space, the park has a playground, basketball hoops, path and benches.
In the Broadway area you will find all of the amenities including restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, pharmacy, gas station, boutiques and galleries.
It is also close to the 8th Street strip and Stonebridge where you will find many of the city’s chain restaurants and box stores.

We like to give our guests as much privacy as possible, the suite is private to guests and the hot tub can be booked for private use. We will likely not use the tub at all during shorter guest stays.
We will also try to keep face to face interaction as minimal as possible during the pandemic.
Guests will usually only spend 5 minutes with Hosts to be shown how the hot tub works prior to going in it, we will wear a mask.
We will message on Airbnb once during a guests stay to check in to make sure they have everything they need and give a send off message before they leave. Please feel free to message us anytime in between.
