位置
Sant Joan de Labritja、Illes Balears、西班牙
San Juan (Sant Joan in Catalan) is truly the last village of Ibiza.
Visitors come here to go back in time, on the days when the island was a peaceful, remote corner of Spain.
It is also the hippy headquarters and for those who have moved to the island in search of an alternative lifestyle that embraces spiritual philosophy and a healthier lifestyle.
As often happens in Ibiza, the village is dominated by the church, built in white lime and dating from the eighteenth century.
The main road is a real gem. Quiet, with wrought iron balconies decorated with flowers and ancient wooden doors that lead the visitor on cobblestones and steps. Here and there the smell of garlic, the hiss of coffee machines and the chatter of customers in bars.
Every Sunday San Juan comes to life with a picturesque artisan market in the town square in front of the church. There is a large selection of organic products and handicrafts, such as homemade Hierbas, organic bread, island fruit such as figs and almonds, handmade soap, leather goods, candles, jewelry and much more.
At noon, local bands play live on the square and there are bars where you can have a drink or snack. The market takes place all year round and is very popular with islanders and tourists.
