We are a modern Victorian Bed and Brunch nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We are walking distance from the charming storefronts and eclectic dining in Downtown Sonora. Located approximately 40 miles from the entrance of Yosemite, the Royal Olive Manor is the perfect place to call "home base" if adventuring through the mountains.

Olive Hale Knudsen was 11 years old when she first moved into the home when her father, George Hale, first built it in 1880, and remained in the home with her husband and children until 1918. The Olive Room is styled with pastel blue walls and gold accents to represent her bright spirit and cheerful personality. It has been said that Olive and her husband often threw extravagant parties, and were gracious hosts to all who entered the home. The Olive Room has one Queen bed, and a Queen sized pull-out couch in the private living area. There is a private bathroom and fully functional kitchen complete with an oven, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator.
Brunch is included in your stay, and is served between 9am and 11am Monday-Saturday, and at 9am Sunday. You have the choice of having your brunch on the back lawn or in the main dining room. **UPDATE: We are currently not serving brunch at this time due to our counties strict Covid-19 restrictions**
Check in is anytime after 4pm, and check out is at 12pm.

Guests are welcome to use the common areas in the home until 8pm every evening. We just ask that you please clean up after yourselves, and leave the common areas as you found them.

I was born and raised in Sonora, and have always had a heart for our tight-knit community and the beauty of our little mountain town. At 18 years old, I packed my bags and moved to Hawaii. It was there, on the beautiful island of Oahu, that I met my husband and his beautiful little girl. In March of 2020, we decided to make the move from Hawaii to Sonora to help run the Royal Olive Manor. My parents, who own many other businesses in our area, are trusting my husband and I to manage this new Bed and Brunch, and we couldn't be more excited and thankful for this opportunity. When you enter our doors, we want you to feel like family. You will often see my husband maintaining the grounds, and our little girl playing in the yard after school. Though this house was built in 1880, it feels like we were destined to be apart of it's story. The rich history surrounding this home and it's past residences make me feel more connected to our little town than ever before. We can't wait to share it with you!
