Private cottage with large screened in deck & comfy sleeping loft among the trees. A vertical ladder leads to a beautiful half-story sleeping loft. There is art throughout the space. Mini fridge & microwave on deck. Guests use a beautiful outdoor shower w/ hot & cold water until temps reach freezing.
Winter note-guests use main house shower w/ exterior entryway when below freezing. Compost toilet is in free standing out-house just a 10 second stroll through flower gardens. 2-friendly Aussi-dogs.

The cabin and the land is filled with art, mosaic sculptures and beautiful gardens. There are unique buildings on the land including a private indoor meditation space that is a school bus.
All linens and duvet covers are laundered between guests. After conventional cleaning all surfaces and knobs are given a second cleaning with Clorox wipes. An ozone machine is then run for a minimum of two hours to give it that fresh air clean!
Guests of this private cottage have a spacious deck with comfy out-door furniture. There is a private drive to this cabin. This guest-house is located in a separate fenced area on the back corner of this property. You are welcome to walk among the organic flower and vegetable gardens or to enjoy resting on a hammock near the water gardens and ponds.
For those wanting a full retreat experience I can support guests with prepared gourmet meals upon request.

This land is on a sweet country road with several farms and no through traffic. It's a great place for a nice walk or a short bike ride. The main 2-lane road nearby is well traveled and a main connector from I-64 and UNC Hospital. Jordan Lake is a 10-minute Drive east and UNC is a 7-minute drive West. Duke is approximately 20-minutes from here . There is a Food Lion grocery store 1-mile away and several great restaurants in that same shopping plaza: Flaire, Tarantini Al's Burgers and Papa Johns. There is also an ABC liquor store near there. Southern Village just 3-miles away offers a great local food co-op Weaver Street Market and many other shops and restaurants.
Southern Village also has the following excellent restaurants: Rasa Malaysia Restaurant, Town Hall Grill, Subway, La Dolce Vita Espresso and Gelato Cafe. YUM!

I'm from Niagara Falls, NY but, long term resident of beautiful Chapel Hill NC. I am a mosaic artist, organic gardener and composter. I'm also a Registered Nurse and Forensic Nurse.

I'm available throughout your stay if you have any questions! At night, we typically have our phones put away from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., but we will respond to questions quickly outside of these hours. I generally work in my art studio on the property from 7am-5pm, so am available during the day if needed. I respect your privacy as this is a great place to get-away and enjoy a retreat.
