Port Fairy is an historic, small seaside village. There are many well preserved heritage buildings. The expansive East Beach, shelters the Moyne River, which provides safe harbour for recreational and professional fishing fleets and many sail boats. A wonderful maritime promenade.
On the other side of the river is South Beach with its characteristic rocky volcanic features. Both areas blend into an island point which makes for a world class walk to the historic lighthouse. All of this in walking distance from the Cottage.
The village is home to an eclectic mix of community spirited citizens. Friendships enjoyed together in a generous sharing of food, wine, music, art, sport and recreation. It is all for you to enjoy.
