Due to COVID-19 there are lockdowns in place across the UK and travel is not permitted other than in limited circumstances until at least April. Failure to follow the law is a criminal offence.
We would like to welcome you to Weslyn, an attractive, three-bedroom detached house which is perched on the north side of the historic Clydach Gorge and enjoys outstanding views across the Gorge and of Gilwern Hill.
This home from home is all yours for the period of the booking.

The property has Wi-Fi throughout. The lounge has a log burner (wood provided), as well as a TV with access to Now TV and DVD’s with access to many films.
A separate dining room has a table and chairs. The well-equipped kitchen has a cooker, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, microwave and coffee machine. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. There are numerous board games and jigsaws to while away the hours and spend quality time with family or friends.
The outside has a decking area with table and chairs as well as a gas barbecue and hot tub (summer season only and upon-request as we need to prepare and heat!).
You can unload directly outside the home but will need to park on another road (very close- maximum 1 minute walk). You need to be aware there are a few steps to get to the property.
The house best suits those who love walking/cycling/photography/exploring or simply want a quiet break.
This is a quiet area and we have good relations with the neighbours. We do not as a consequence take hen or stag parties and would ask you be respectful of the neighbours.

It is set in the quiet village of Clydach North (no local amenities) but only two miles from the attractive village of Gilwern, which has a pub, local shops and chip shop. Approximately six miles away are the beautiful towns of Abergavenny and Crickhowell, both of which have rivers flowing through them. The beautiful Brecon and Monmouthshire canal passes through Gilwern.
The World Heritage site of Blaenavon is 11 miles away, which offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the rich industrial heritage of the area; the National Museums of Big Pit and Blaenavon Iron works are both free, as is the underground tour. Jason has a good knowledge of the local area and will be more than happy to provide you with suggestions for local walks and trips (the house has local maps). Brecon, Pen Y Fan (tallest mountain in South Wales), Talybont reservoir and a number of castles are all in relative close proximity for days out.
