The town of Egilsstaðir is in a 5 minute driving distance where you find supermarkets, gas stations, pharmacy, health care center, swimming pool, restaurants, tourist information, gift shops, clothing stores, art gallery and bars.
Finnsstaðir is located in the center of East Iceland which makes it an ideal station for day trips to the Eastfjords, the fishing villages by the coast, the waterfalls Hengifoss and Fardagafoss, Hallormsstadaskógur National Forest, Vök Baths etc. For hikers, there are plenty of interesting and diverse hiking paths in the vicinity at all difficulty levels.

Hjónin Sigurður Hlíðar Jakobsson og Helga Guðrún Sturlaugsdóttir, oftar Helga og Siggi, eru gestgjafar og bændur að Finnsstöðum. Helga er lyfjatæknir að mennt en hestamaður og gestgjafi að ástríðu. Siggi er vél- og þúsundþjalasmiður og talar íslensku og hestamál jöfnum höndum. Hann talar mikið með verkunum og fellur sjaldan verk úr hendi. Þegar þú rennur niður að Finnsstöðum tekur Helga mjög líklega á móti þér í hlaðvarpanum, glaðvær og einlæg, tilbúin að stjana við þig. Saman mynda Helga og Siggi fullkomið teymi og sjá til þess að heimsóknin þín að Finnsstöðum verði ánægjuleg og eftirminnileg.
