Stay in an authentic Old Town adobe home. My second AirBnB home - newly remodeled! Located in the heart of historic Old Town neighborhood - on a quiet, peaceful side street. Less than one block to the main entrance of Old Town. Leave your car at home and walk to the plaza.
Only 10 minutes from the Albuquerque Airport/Sunport, and easy access to and from the freeway. Close to the central Ave/Rt. 66 bus line. Just one mile to downtown. Many museums, restaurants, and the Biopark are within a short walk. The Bosque/river bike trail is around the corner.
My classic southwestern adobe ranch is decorated with a mid-century modern southwestern flair. The home is full of original artwork and Mexican decor. Experience the feel of the traditional southwest. Spend your days walking Old Town and the museums and spend your evenings soaking in the hot tub.
Private front and back door entries. Off-street parking in the gated circular driveway, walled courtyard in both the front and back. The back courtyard is completely enclosed and private, with multiple seating areas and hot-tub.
The home has a remote/keyless entry - you will never have to carry keys or worry about misplacing them!
Featuring a large living room with fireplace and and a very comfortable futon couch that opens to a queen-sized bed with deluxe mattress. The dining area has a huge table that seats up to eight people.
The bedroom has a queen-sized Sealy Posturpedic pillow-top mattress, flat screen TV with both satellite channels and Netflix streaming, a desk/writing area with wireless internet access and wireless printer, and also a reading nook. All rooms are bright and airy with skylights and decorated with local artwork.
Bathroom has a tiled walk-in shower and Mexican talavera sink and detailing.
The kitchenette has a microwave and mini-fridge, sink, coffee-maker, electric tea kettle, a high-efficiency induction cook top, and basic kitchen supplies. It is not a full-sized kitchen, for there are many restaurants within a short walk. There is a breakfast bar for seating and a full-sized dining table.
Utility room with washer and dryer.
The home can sleep up to 4 guests.
Because this is a guest wing off the main house, I am nearly always available to greet guests, to answer questions, and give recommendations. I have a binder full of local attractions and restaurant menus, and a library featuring many regional and local southwest books and maps. See my reviews for details.
This is a very quiet, established Old Town neighborhood.
My home is pet friendly and also has a lovely walled courtyard. Please remember to clean up after your pet or there may be a fee with held from your deposit.
Smoking is permitted in the courtyard.
Quiet hours are after 9 pm
I am an artist from New Mexico. My interests are printmaking (mostly woodcuts and wood engravings) and remodeling houses. I mostly freelance and have a MA degree in non-toxic printmaking. My primary medium is woodcuts and I am also a book illustrator.
I love the open spaces, the mountains, and canyons of New Mexico - where one can live in a major city, but be in the wilderness within 1/2 hour. I can give you many tips of what to see and do.
I work part time for a wilderness expedition company: The Cottonwood Gulch Foundation.
My art studio website is currently being rebuilt, so is a bit barebones at the moment. It can be found under "Laughing Crow Studio" or Lezle Williams.
I have stayed at several airBNB homes both in the US and abroad. It is a great community and a great way to travel!
Thank you for your interest!
