Greeley Hill is a wonderful, rural area with meadows and pine/cedar/oak forest. There are many walking trails in the national forest that lies immediately adjacent to private land. The people here are very friendly and helpful, always willing to talk about the area.
We are located on the historic John Muir Trail, the road he took to Yosemite. Did you know Muir herded sheep through Greeley Hill on his way to the high country? Coulterville, 7 miles down the hill from us, is home of the John Muir Geotourism Center, the Northern Mariposa County Historical Center, and the famous Claim Jumpers Re-enactors' shootout. We are also located 60 miles from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort and Badger Pass Ski Area for your winter skiing enjoyment.
