We offer accommodations for up to 140 people in a favored setting along the Sarthe River. This 52 acre property offers several levels of accommodation including the 15 bedroom chateau, a 10 bedroom gite and a 2 bedroom bungalow. Malicorne, our village, is the fine pottery center of France and its shops are a 15 minute walk from RiveSarthe.
Paris is a 54 minute TGV ride from Le Mans, which is 35 minutes by car from RiveSarthe.
The negative review by Ullin resulted from a misunderstanding. During the Le Mans Classic when rooms are difficult to find we offered her the guest room in our residence, the Guardian's House. Ullin thought the price was the same as were rooms in the chateau, but her room was less expensive. As we confidently host our family and friends in this room, we keep it clean and well outfitted. Ullin wished to be in the chateau and nothing we offered as compensation pleased her. We hope you understand.
We also conduct group tours, for 15 or more, which include Monet's home at Giverny, the D-Day landing beaches of Normandy, Le Mont St. Michel, Chartres Cathedral, the chateaux of the Loire Valley, and other interests such as wine and cheese tastings.
We are not a B&B as we do not serve meals except for groups and our minimum stay is three nights.
If you enjoy a peaceful setting with exceptionally clean air, lovely paths for walks, a fascinating history, comfortable beds and congenial hosts, then you will find Chateau RiveSarthe a memorable place to stay.

Our rate of €750 is the nightly lease of up to 8 chateau rooms. For each additional room, add €70 to the lease total.
The chateau is leased on an exclusive basis only.
