The house is in a lively, historical neighborhood with an old, gritty feel. There are over 100 things to do within walking distance and the main reason to book this house is for location. If you are uncomfortable with dense urban neighborhoods, graffiti, noise, litter, inebriated people (there's a cool, very popular bar across the street), please consider if this listing is right for you.
With that said, I lived here for 6 years and loved it, have been hosting here for 8 years, and used to host solo traveling women who would walk back to the house from the French Quarter at night. I only moved because I built a house for myself down the street.
