Appartement très charmant et très bien situé

It's a great street in Paris to start your day & to go out and about. The bakery, cute shops, cafees and supermarket around the corner, and close to the metro. I also love the appartement: it's spacious, very cozy, easy to find your way around. A good bed & shower. It's on the sixt floor, so only someone who may have trouble with stairs I would recommend another place. As for me -- I'm definitely coming back when I'll be in Paris again!

Tiphaine was a great host. She took some time to recommend us some restaurants and sights. The place was very clean and close to a subway station. A great place to discover Paris from.

Tiphaine's place is a newly renovated studio in a historic centre of springy-sunny Paris in the full bloom . It is located in 10-15minutes max walking distance from the major sightseeings but in a respectable residential area off the bitten touristic roots. What is really important is that it has really strategic positioning - nearly equally close to stunning Louvre&Tuileries Gardens, stylish Marais and romantic Montmartre. Appartments itself are decorated with a good taste a la Parisien mode, it is very sunny, clean and full of light. It is equipped with everything you might need during the stay - from brand new combo-oven to a good collection of books to read before bedtime (such a good replacing for fooly surfing in Web). I should also to especially admit Tiphaine's warm welcoming approach and taking care about her guest. She was sweet enough to prepare some simple but very prompt stuff for my late light snack as i arrived on Sunday night when everything is closed. I also would recommend to use her guide book and personal recomms in order to get some good info about places nearby and worth visiting. I have already recommend this place to my close friends who will be in Paris mid June as well as plan to stay here in July on my next visit. And that - I guess - is the best proof! Her apartment was absolutely adorable, I can tell Tiphainie takes really good care of the place and a lot of love was put in to it. The booking started promising with the lovely photos of the flat which seemed clean and cute and wonderful with the host’s contacting me soon after the payment to introduce himself. On the check in I found the bedcovers and sheets thrown in a pile behind sofa bed. It looked untidy and unusual, so I asked Brown to confirm if these were the fresh bed sheets and he confirmed rather unconvincingly that it was all clean. The check in was very brief and Brown was out within 2 minutes. I have noticed that there was scaffolding outside the flat windows and the hall outside the flat was covered in some building cover sheets. The hall outside the flat also looked in a very bad shape, in a need of a serious renovation and wires were hanging out everywhere. Upon my arrival back in the flat later that evening I prepared the bed and noticed that the bedcovers were not clean, the creases and stench of someone previously using them was very obvious. The bathroom was another shock, not only that it was in a bad need of renovation, it wasn’t even cleaned after the previous guests! Some of the tiles were broken, there was a lot black lines around the tiles, and the overall impression was that the bathroom was not just in a need of a serious clean-up but also of repair. There was hair and dust all over the bath and sink. It was the worst nightmare you can experience when traveling, being forced to sleep in a dirty bed and wash the bath yourself to prevent catching a disease. Very disturbing. I sent a text to Brown that night to complain and he replied next day around 12pm saying that “his girl didn’t clean up” and he would sort it out during the day, which he did. On the checkout day, I was contacted with Brown’s partner Anna with a several courtesy and apologetic text messages. I met Brown for a check out and told him about my grievances. What I didn’t expect was his reaction. Not an apology, but he explained that he was “quite cool about me staying in his flat and that he went to a lot of trouble to let me stay there and meet me, considering all his work commitments”! This was a very humiliating experience and has ruined my visit to Paris. Brown’s complete lack of basic hospitality skills was the insult to the injury. It needs to change as well as the state of his bathroom before I could recommend this property to anyone else. I submitted a complaint to Airbnb alongside the photo evidence. They awarded me with the 100% refund, having seen the photos. I was impressed with the customer services and the speed of their response. Should anyone wish to check I will be happy to email the photos on (EMAIL HIDDEN)

We stayed at the flat for 4 nights in April '14. The flat is exactly like shown on the photos. The sofa bed is comfortable, the kitchen provided everything you need. The flat was clean and stylish. Brown and Anne are super nice hosts, they recommended some restaurants and offered help if we needed some. The location of the flat is perfect to explore Paris. Two Metro stations are in walking distance (2 mins away). Supermarkets and little shops to buy fresh food at are also just around the corner. We were absolutely happy with the stay there and will hopefully be able to stay here again at our next trip to Paris.
