My family and I had the most wonderful time staying at Kristen's place. The cabin was very cozy, the family was easy to reach if we had questions, and the area was very beautiful. I would love to return some day during the summer as I went in the winter - it is quite a special place! A little oasis on it's own lake.
Mystic Lodge Tipi is magical and we loved our stay. Lisa is a photographer and collector so everything is beautifully curated. Chris was super communicative and warmly welcomed us upon our arrival to give us the grand tour. The land is stunning with walking paths down to a babbling brook, a pond and a secluded picnic or napping spot. The the tipi was cozy and charmingly decorated with crystals, books, feathers, cow hide and canvas sack rugs, candles, palo santo, plates, a knife, matches, towels, wash cloths and an amazingly warm and comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The outhouse is super cute and oh so clean. There is a hand washing station, soap and a mirror too. Chris set up the stove inside the tipi for our first fire and left us plenty of extra firewood. It was cold in the morning even in August! There are two adirondack chairs with ottomans and a nice little exposed flame fire pit outside. The tipi is situated in the large sprawling land offering spectacular mountain views behind Chris and Lisa's house. The hot tub and outdoor shower are close to the house and we highly recommend getting the hot tub, it was amazing to take a cold shower and then jump right back in to the hot water! We cancelled our reservation at Brushland Eating House because we didn't want to leave! Next time we will go out to eat-it was a bit of a stretch to cook a meal there since the car wasn't right next to us. Bovina is super cute and Russel's General Store is a must. We will be back! Thanks so much Chris and Lisa!
