Bath has lots of choices of places to eat, but these days they all tend to get very busy , especially at weekends. We strongly suggest you book tables well ahead to avoid disappointment. Some reliable favourites are:

A very handy food store on Bathwick Hill , just a 10 min walk along canal path, or a quick drive with parking ouside.

Large flagship M&S, in my opinion better than London Oxford St branch, often has new ranges not seen in all stores.

November 2013 - this very old pub is on pretty Abbey Green and has just had an excellent refurbishment - with 2 lounge/bars , good food, open log fires and an undercover , heated garden area.
